Recruiting Internship

Universities and colleges partner with Charles Aris to provide custom internship opportunities in which students earn hands-on experience and potentially earn academic credit for a semester or summer. The practicum provides an opportunity for students to collaborate with members of the firm’s executive search team by working on assigned client search projects. Interns learn and make effective use of professional tools in a fast-paced sales environment focused on placing senior-level talent in mission-critical roles with organizations. Charles Aris clients range from start-ups to Fortune 500 firms in 46 states and 6 countries.

Resourceful students join the firm’s executive search team for a semester or a summer, gaining experience and developing proficiency in business while potentially earning academic credit.

Like the firm’s full-time associate recruiters, Charles Aris recruiting interns:

  • work with a project team to complete a thorough analysis of the client, project requirements, networks, associations, competitors and other targeted companies
  • use resources to identify an actionable list of contacts for each search; maintain and build a candidate network; and conduct company / industry research
  • assist in developing deliverables for the project team, ranging from Assignment Specification documents to Candidate Scorecards and Pipeline Status Reports
  • assist with quality assurance for all documents presented internally and externally
  • learn about every major aspect of recruiting in general and Charles Aris Inc. in particular

Eligibility Considerations

  • Academic progress toward a college or university diploma is required
  • Related coursework (business, communications, marketing, sales, etc.), is encouraged
  • Prior to completing their internships, recruiting interns will present to Charles Aris vice presidents and directors the focus of their internships; what they learned during their internships; and any insights they would share with Charles Aris leaders
